Dear Potential Supporter of St John School,

Nestled in the heart of Boston’s historic North End, St John School has educated children since 1895. SJS provides a Catholic education that focuses on Faith and academic excellence to students in PreK-3 through Grade 8. In 2020, SJS was to celebrate its 125th year of academic excellence. In May, 2023, we will celebrate 128 years.  

To launch us into the future, we are excited to announce the details of our 2023 fundraising event on this website.

For our 2019 gala, donations from our SJS community helped to generate over $110,000 to renovate and supply our Art & Music Room, provide improved building air quality and environmentally friendly lighting. We are relying on our community’s continued generosity in 2023 to achieve our ambitious fundraising goal of $128,000. These funds will be used to support new initiatives which focus on growing our school’s academic resources and the continued evolution of our 100+ year old building’s operation.

The 2023 fundraising initiatives are:

• Recover the costs associated with unexpectedly having to replace the building’s boiler this past winter which cost $75,000.

• Support and retain our amazing teachers through professional development and additional resources 

• Support and enhance our extracurricular activities (Music, Italian, Tower Garden, Art, Physical Education, and Technology)

Everything that we accomplish on behalf of our students is made possible by our community’s generosity and engagement.
